New Specification for Spin Test Off the Face of a Pickleball Paddle
1. Scope
The purpose of this test is to define the complete set of test conditions to characterize the spin that a pickleball paddle can impart onto a pickleball. This test is focused on the performance of the Paddle being tested, and will allow direct comparison and differentiation between various paddle types and configurations. This test involves shooting a prescribed test ball at a paddle that is held at fixed angle on impact, and then using high speed motion capture techniques to accurately measure the spin of the ball as the ball leaves the face of the paddle.
