Rationale

This work item is addressing revisions to the tasks listed in pre-design. The intent is to collect feedback from a working group that includes experts and practitioners who regularly perform building enclosure commissioning (BECx) regarding which BECx tasks are commonly implemented and found valuable. This group will collect responses and share findings and themes at Task Group meetings to inform future guideline revisions. The committee is considering reducing the guideline to a list of recommended BECx tasks and moving items that are not widely used or recommended to an appendix. We will be examining each project phase separately; this work item includes BECx activity listed in ASTM E2947 for the Pre-Design Phase.
