Section 7.2.2.4 of ASTM C1780-260 includes specific installation instructions for ‘large-format units with face areas of C144 2 (0.093 m2) or greater’ and 'those with flatter profiles'. A commenter on a recent ballot remarked that the current language might imply that there are large-format units with face areas less than C144 2 (0.093 m2) for which the installation instructions would not apply. The commenter also pointed out that 'those with flatter profiles' wasn't very helpful as there was no guidance on what 'flatter' actually means. This ballot item clarifies the 'large-format' issue and deletes 'flatter profiles' as this term was just recently added to the standard and is not needed in this section.
