ASTM WK97441
Precision statements are mandatory per ASTM. The main proposed of this ballot is to meet this requirement. The proposed precision stamen serves as an ‘intermediate precision’ as defined in ASTM E456 and per ASTM E177, and meets the mandatory precision requirements until an interlaboratory study (ILS) is conducted. This re-ballot corrects the number of decimal places of the values provided. It is clearly noted that the data used for the proposed precision values comes from a single laboratory over time. This is acceptable by the Form and Style for ASTM Standards (Section A21). The precision values are based on completed statistical work at the University of Miami by Mr. Camilo Vega Vargas, which is also provided in the following peer reviewed publication: Vega, C., Zahoor, Y., Palacios, J., De Caso, F. and Nanni, A., 2024. Evaluation of Precision Statements for Physio-mechanical Characterization Tests on GFRP Bars. Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 52(4).
