The current "hydrogen induced cracking (HIC)" definition in NACE/ASTM G193-22 was harmonized with ISO 8044:2020. However, the ISO definition was revised in 2024, which is also included in the current ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-1. This ballot revision will harmonize NACE/ASTM G193 with the current ANSI/NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-1 and ISO 8044:2024.
