Rationale

Supporting the development of ASTM E3076, which uses an algorithm know as SDAR (Slope Determination by Analysis of Residuals), there were two rounds of Round Robins. The Pre-Round Robin was executed to evaluate the ability of users to effectively write code to implement the algorithm, identify areas for improvement of the SDAR algorithm and improve the Standard Practice in preparation for ballot. The second Round Robin had the same objectives and included additional data sets to further assess the data metrics that are part of ASTM E3076. The results of these two Round Robin programs were presented during E08.03.05 task group meetings, E08 workshop, E08 symposium and ASTM STP publication. The intend of this work item is to reference this publication within E3076, so the work is available to users.
