ASTM A193-25 Section 6.1.6 requires that a tempering or stress relief for B7M must be performed after all cutting is performed, including cut to length. When the bolt is cut to length, it does not impede with its form, fit, or function. The threads are not impacted by the cut and therefore cut to length should be omitted from this restriction and the purchaser can determine if this is necessary or not for their application
