Rationale

In response to an A01.22 Ballot 23-01 comment on WK84185 on A988/A988M, it was agreed at the A01.22.03 meeting in May 2023 to replace element names (e.g. chromium) with the elemental symbols (e.g. Cr) in the Grade column in Table 1 to make the table easier to read. The same revision is proposed for A989/A989M to maintain consistency between the two standards. %RA requirements are revised to whole numbers for all grades in accordance with A01.22 harmonization project.
