Rationale

This Test Method includes some dated methods that likely are no longer used, based on discussions at recent Subcommittee Meetings. These include all of Section 18, as well as 23.2 - 23.6. In addition, 23.7 will be revised to include calculation of specific gravity from pycnometric density determinations. A new Test Method for determination of BET surface area is under development, and once this is completed, Section 24 will be removed from C110.
